The delay in appointing the Artistic Director and setting up the secretariat is likely to impact the schedule of the eighth edition of Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes), which is usually held in December. The event may be pushed back to January 2016.

Actor and singer Ayushmann Khurrana will be accompanying his debut film's director Shoojit Sircar for the screening of their much appreciated movie Vicky Donor on the second day of the Indian Film Festival in Russia (IFFR), (a festival of Indian Films in Moscow to be held from 3-6 September 2015).

Kiefer Sutherland has been named the recipient of the Zurich Film Festival’s Golden Eye award on September 25. The actor has received two Screen Actors Guild awards, an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Jack Bauer in the television series 24.
