The Film Bazaar Co-production Market 2016 is now open for entries for all you filmmakers who are seeking co-production support from Indian & international producers. Like every year, the 10th edition of the market will take place from 20-24th November, 2016. A total of 20 projects will be selected for this year's edition.

What Is It All About

NFDC’s Film Bazaar is the perfect place for filmmakers to pitch their completed fiction feature scripts to the Indian and international film community. By providing a platform for Asian themed projects, the co-production market aims to open up avenues to filmmakers through numerous pitching sessions.

With the help of the orientation program and open pitching sessions, participants will have a clear sense of pitching, presenting and navigating the Co-Production Market space.

The open pitching forum will be organised a day prior to the start of the Co-production Market and will allow selected participants to pitch their projects to noted industry professionals attending the market. This enables participants to effectively use their time during the one-on-one meetings for more in-depth discussions focused on project specific needs and negotiations.

Some of the noted projects in the last few years include Titli, (Kanu Behl), The Lunchbox (Ritesh Batra), Shanghai (Dibakar Banerjee), Miss Lovely (Ashim Ahluwalia) and That Girl In Yellow Boots (Anurag Kashyap).

The regular deadline for applications is 11th July, 2016.

  1. All film projects must be original stories with a South Asian connect.
  2. Feature films must have a minimum duration of 70 mins.
  3. Must have a producer attached with 25% of the finance in place.
  4. The project must also have scope for international co-production, distribution and sales.
