ScreenCraft’s screenwriting contests are dedicated to discovering talented screenwriters around the world and connecting them with producers, agents and managers. The contests uniquely tailor the prize package for each contest by specializing in screenplay competitions by genre.
All persons from anywhere in the world are eligible; however the material submitted must be in English.
Short screenplays longer than 35 pages will not be eligible.
Comedy feature screenplays longer than 140 pages will not be eligible.
All writers at least 18 years of age are eligible. However, a writer who has earned more than $50,000 (or equivalent currency) from professional screenwriting in the preceding two years is not eligible. (Contest winnings not included.)
All material must be submitted electronically as a PDF or it will not be eligible.
Fees & Deadlines
Entry fee for each short screenplay is $19 until the early deadline on February 10th, and then $29 until final deadline on April 6th, 2015.
Entry fee for each comedy screenplay is $29 until the early deadline on February 14th, and then $49 until final deadline on April 11th, 2015.
1st Place- $1000 cash (Along with a phone consultation with a literary manager at 3 Arts Entertainment and introduction to top managers and agents)
2nd Place- $500 cash (a phone consultation with the ScreenCraft creative team and introduction to top managers and agents)
Top 5 Finalists- a page of expert feedback from one of ScreenCraft’s industry judges.
1st Place- $2000 cash (Along with phone consultations with top Hollywood literary managers and agents)
Top 5 Finalists- $200 cash(Will receive a page of feedback from one of ScreenCraft’s 3 industry judges)
