Like scripting and directing, casting plays an important role in filmmaking. Without proper casting, even the best of roles and scenes fail miserably. Similarly, many aspiring actors often find it difficult to crack auditions. And often they end up being part of fake auditions that have been the bane of our film industries.
So how can an aspiring actor who does not belong to the industry, crack auditions successfully? And how does one ensure that they do not end up getting exploited?
While Hollywood seems to have many books and resources to help potential actors, there are hardly any Indian books or blogs, which explain casting and auditioning process in detail. Manoj Ramola's 'Audition Room' comes at the right juncture. The book provides information about the casting process and has all kinds of tips for actors to ace the process.
The author Manoj Ramola has conducted more than a lakh auditions for the past 6 years and has worked with production houses like Star TV, Disney, UTV Bindass, Endemol and Sa Re Ga Ma amongst others.
The English and Hindi manuscript of the book are ready. But in order to take make this book available to the acting community, they need to raise Rs.1,50,000. They have initiated a crowdfunding campaign in association with Wishberry. The campaign ends on 27th August 2015.
