The trailer itself is a proof that Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most brilliant actors of Hindi cinema today! His Ramanna can sure send chills down your spine with a single glance, while Vicky Kaushal seems to have turned a page after his debut as the guy next door in Masaan. He plays a badass cop, who crosses paths with this psychopath stalker and the hell breaks out. The three minute something trailer gives an exact idea of what's going to happen in three apt words: Madness Meets Mayhem!

The description on the official Phantom YouTube channel reads as: Set in present day Mumbai the story follows the life of a serial killer Ramanna who is inspired by an infamous serial killer from the 1960's, Raman Raghav. His strange obsession with Raghavan, a young Cop keeps growing as he closely follows him without his knowledge and often creates situations where both of them come face to face.

The film is set to premiere at the Directors' Fortnight section at this year's Cannes Film Festival, which commences tomorrow. The film will release in India on 24th June.
