Many people have paid tribute to the grand century long legacy of Indian cinema in different ways. Filmmakers have made films, newspapers and magazines have published special editions and editors have created excellent montages to celebrate the century-old heritage.

Yet, this is by far the best homage video we've come across yet. Sand artist Rahul Arya recreates the various milestones in the history of Indian cinema. In the video we see the artist creating intricate figures from legendary films like Mughal-e-Azam, Sholay and Anand along with the recent favorites Gangs of Wasseypur, 3 Idiots and The Lunchbox.
