The National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) is inviting submissions for its 2015 Film Bazaar Screenwriters' Lab program.
The Screenwriters’ Lab 2015 will give six independent screenwriters an opportunity to develop their skills under the guidance of industry experts from across the globe. Through one-on-one sessions conducted with their mentors, the screenwriters are advised on the tools and techniques required to improve their scripts and ways to pitch it in the global domain. The selected screenwriters will get a chance to attend NFDC’s Film Bazaar, Goa and an opportunity to pitch their projects in this prestigious initiative.
There are three sections of the lab - Screenwriters Lab, Romance Screenwriters Lab and Children's Screenwriters Lab for which the entries & fees have to be made separately .
1. Screenwriters Lab - This is the 9th edition of the Screenwriter's lab. This year the Screenwriters' Lab has been specially re-designed to encourage writers to write original Indian stories that can be pitched in the global filmmaking market. 2. Romance Screenwriters Lab - The lab is hosting the R0mance Screenwriters Lab focusing on themes of love and romance. This is the second edition of the Romance Screenwriters Lab. 3. Children's Screenwriters Lab - This year NFDC is also organizing a section for the first time focusing on stories pertaining to children. Eligibility - Only Indian passport holders can apply to the lab.
Selection Process - The selection process is divided into two parts;
Other Details - Submissions should be made via email only as a single pdf/doc file. No hard copies of submissions need to be sent.
Submissions are to be sent via mail and physical submissions will not be accepted. Applications should be sent to email@example.com.
Entry Fees - The application fees is INR 2500/- which is payable by Demand Draft or Wire Transfer in favour of National Film Development Corporation Ltd. Click here to know more about the payment process.
