National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) opens registration for its 10th edition of Film Bazaar, which is scheduled from November 20th to November 24th, 2016, at Goa Marriott Resort, Goa.
Film Bazaar is South Asia’s largest film market organized by National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC). With regular segments like Co-Production Market, Viewing Room, Work-in-Progress Lab, Knowledge Series, Producer’s Lab, Industry Screenings, Investor Pitches, Film Offices and Exhibition Stalls, Film Bazaar has seen an increased participation of international as well as domestic delegates year after year.
From 168 delegates in 2007 to 1102 delegates in 2015, Film Bazaar has served as a converging place to explore and source South Asian content. The Bazaar is attended by festival programmers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, filmmakers, exhibitors, independent industry professionals and press from more than 35 countries.
Film Bazaar has extensively contributed to the growth of independent cinema in South Asia and its increasing popularity in the international markets. Films that have been through the Bazaar have also had their world premieres at various prestigious film festivals internationally. Some of them have even enjoyed a successful theatrical run which include, but are not limited to The Lunchbox, Qissa, Thithi, Miss Lovely, Killa, Titli, Ship of Theseus & Court.
The Early Bird Registration Deadline is October 15, 2016 (11.59 PM IST)
The Regular Registration Deadline is November 19, 2016 (11.59 PM IST)
The On-Spot Registration will begin November 20, 2016 onwards
This year NFDC Film Bazaar is introducing a discounted Registration Fee for Students, which will give them the opportunity to network and interact with international and domestic delegates. All students, above 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an educational institution, can register.
