Amazing Grace, a documentary about the singer Aretha Franklin, will no longer screen at the Toronto film festival. The film has become the subject of a legal wrangle between its producers and the singer, who filed a suit against them last week to block a screening at the Telluride film festival.

STX Entertainment has titled its intergalactic love story as The Space Between Us, starring Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, Britt Robertson, BD Wong and Janet Montgomery. The story follows two teens from different worlds as the first human born on Mars is secretly raised in an experimental colony after his astronaut mother dies during childbirth.

Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar, who turned 48 on Wednesday, announced his new romantic thriller Rustom, which marks his third collaboration with Neeraj Pandey. The movie will release on the weekend of Independence Day 2016.

Director Jonas Cuaron, son of Alfonso Cuaron, is following in the footsteps of his famous father with a new film DesiertoDesierto — or Desert —stars Gael Garcia Bernal and is set to open Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival.
