Legendary Hollywood actress, Meryl Streep will be the head of jury for the 66th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival. This will be Streep's first run as a Jury President for any event, ever. The Devil Wears Prada actress who won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 edition of the Berlin Film Festival.
Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) has effected a 300 per cent hike in the delegate registration fee for 46th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to be held in Goa from November 20 to 30. It has been increased from Rs 300 per person to Rs 1,000. The late fee has been hiked from Rs 200 to Rs 500.
Indian short film An Old Dog’s Diary, directed by Shai Heredia and Shumona Goel has won the best short film award at the 2015 London Film Festival. An Old Dog’s Diary was a part of 'Mediums and Messages' section which showcased films portraying historic and contemporary media and art.

The Department of Media Sciences, Anna University, and UNICEF is jointly conducting a short-film competition. The film must be 2.30 minutes while the community radio programme should be 15 minutes. Media students and Community radio stations from across Tamil Nadu are eligible to send in their entries.
